Ceph Tracing

The Lateral Treatment tab in Orthodontic Imaging allows you to trace a digitised cephalometric x-ray using a selection of analyses. Orthotrac comes with standard analyses such as the Eastman, Mod-Steiner, Ricketts 30 and Downs but you can have an analysis custom made if required.

A guide window with a standard facial template in green shows you where to plot the required point with a red + sign. There is also a description tab which gives a basic definition of the point and how to find it as well as a Histogram tab which allows for histogram equalization of the image. You can also choose to turn on or off the verbal prompts when plotting the points. The ceph can be magnified and enhanced with filters for accurate plotting of landmarks.

Once all the points are plotted you are presented with a table of results which can be printed or viewed along with the traced ceph. The ceph tracing can be altered at any point to fine tune the placement of any landmarks.

In addition to the Ceph Tracing programme there is the facility to perform Growth Forecasting, STO (Surgical Treatment Objectives) and VTO (Virtual Treatment Objectives). This is available in the Ceph Premium Package.
